Why this site exists

Every year, millions of expatriate workers in the UAE finish a contract and face the same question: how much gratuity am I actually owed? The law is public, but the official sources are dense, and most people discover too late that their employer calculated on the wrong base salary.

This site takes the published formula from Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 and makes it runnable: enter your basic salary and years of service, get a year-by-year breakdown you can verify by hand, and bring an informed number to your HR conversation or MOHRE inquiry.

How we keep it accurate

• The formula lives in reviewed code, not in ad copy — see the constants and worked example in our calculation logic.
• Every page states its source: Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, Article 51, and MOHRE guidance.
• We show the two-year statutory cap explicitly when it applies, instead of hiding it.
